THE HEART OF EXCELLENCE READERS; CHOICE AWARD
For Published Authors
Sponsored by Ancient City Romance Authors (ACRA)
CONTEST RULES – The Heart of Excellence Readers Choice Award
Open to RWA members with books having an original copyright date of 2010 or First US Printing date of 2010 from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010.
FEES $20.00 per entry. Make checks payable to ACRA.
Include 3 signed copies of each entry. (Book length, (at least 50K), e-books are accepted in bound, hard copy.)
A title may be entered in more than one category. (Example: THE ROMANCE is entered into single title and historical. $40.00 fee ($20.00 per category), two entry forms and six copies of the book.
If a minimum number of entries are NOT received in any one category, ACRA will cancel said category and entry will be entered in author’s second option category. No books will be returned due to insufficient entries, so please make sure you’ve selected more than one category for your book.
CALENDAR:
Deadline – entries must be postmarked by June 27, 2011.
Finalists announced by the end of August 2011
Winners announced: October Boot Camp 2011
JUDGES: Judges will be chosen from RWA members, non-RWA members, romance readers, booksellers, and librarians.
PRIZE
1st Place winners in each category will receive a trophy, certificate, and a winner’s graphic to include on their website. 2nd and 3rd Place winners will receive a certificate and a graphic for their website. Announcement will be sent to RWR.

The contest committee reserves the right to disqualify an entry, if the entry does not meet the contest rules. No books will be returned.
